Ometepe Island is formed by two volcanoes and is the second largest fresh water island  in the world.  It offers tropical jungles and beautiful wildlife that can be enjoyed by exploring its many hidden treasures.  Hike Volcano Maderas or Concepcion, discover the ancient petroglyphs scattered throughout the island, kayak the river Istiam, swim in the famous Ojo de Agua.  Howler monkeys, green parrots, hummingbirds, and butterflies ( including the blue morpho)can all be viewed in the abundant, lush forest surrounding us. 
 
We are centrally located on a beautiful hill overlooking the lake and volcano Concepcion, a few minutes walk from the best beach on the island.  Make Finca del Sol your starting point to enjoy and discover Ometepe, and all that it has to offer you.
